Expedia Warning

She is a church member and friend. Her daughter needed to fly back to England on Saturday. Now the Icelandic volcano is grounding 17,000 flights. But she had her bases covered because she purchased her tickets through Expedia and purchased flight insurance for a time just like this. She told me that when she called the Expedia flight insurance office, she was kept on hold, stalled and finally debated with about whether her daughter's flight was cancelled, saying they thought it was just delayed and they would not pay.

So why get insurance?
